Lokpanchayat supports marginal farmers in improving their agriculture by adopting organic farming, micro-planning, and appropriate technologies.It has evolved the institution of 'Krishak panchayat' for effective transfer of knowledge within the communities.
Lokpanchayat has successfully built a farm women's cooperative society that produces and markets agro-based products. It has transactions in Lakhs and involves over a thousand women. Lokpanchayat has a network of women communicators providing legal aid and counselling to women in trouble and destitution.

Lokpanchayat runs alternative schools or 'Mukt shala' i.e. liberated schools in villages. These are open centres of self directed learning and co-learning making education joyful and meaningful for rural children. Yuva Jyoti - an initiative by the organisation - focuses on life skills training of rural youth.
Adivasi or forest-dwelling tribes are the least developed brethren in our society. Lokpanchayat has initiated activities for livelihood security and assertion of forest rights in the tribal villages in Akole block near the mountains of Harishchandragadh. 20 tribal hamlets are learning the processing of forest products/fruits and the conservation of forests and biodiversity.
